Cecco and Mami, the new additions from the Poggiarello brand, are a small revolution. Cecco was born and raised in Piacenza: as much as we look to the future, we cannot help but keep in mind where we come from. Cecco represents the simplicity and authenticity of the people of Piacenza. The Cecco Emilia IGT red wine is born from the prized Barbera, Croatina, and Cabernet grapes. The grapes for this wine are harvested by hand. Subsequently, a portion of the grapes is harvested late to ensure a high sugar content. The grapes are crushed and then aged in barriques. At the end of the aging process, the perfect combination is achieved. With an intense, lively, and brilliant ruby red color, it offers notes of red fruits and hints of wood on the nose. On the palate, the wine is agile and fresh, ensuring pleasant drinkability and the right length. This wine should be served at room temperature (14-16 degrees) and pairs perfectly with elaborate first courses featuring meat or mushroom sauces. It is also perfect for accompanying meat main courses and aged cheeses.
