Pinot Nero IGT Lo Straniero: aged in barriques for 12 months.
The Pinot Nero IGT Lo Straniero is crafted from choice Pinot Noir and Pinot Tintourier grapes. This wine is macerated for 36 hours and fermented using selected yeasts. Subsequently, the wine is aged in barriques for 12 months. The result is a ruby red color, with a noble and elegant flavor that fills the mouth with notes of fruit and spice. On the finish, it offers sweet tannins and a varietal bouquet with hints of morello cherry and red fruit jam. Serve at room temperature (approximately 18°C); it is a perfect pairing for your soups, flavorful white meat dishes, and game. The winery will always provide the best available vintage; if you wish to request specific vintages, you may include this in the order notes and we will do our best to accommodate you. The "Il Poggiarello" winery produces wines in the locality of Scrivellano, nestled in the Trebbia Valley. Try all the wines from Il Poggiarello in the section of our online shop dedicated to Emilian wines.
